About this book

An integrated and methodical approach to the study of contemporary analytical techniques employed in pharmaceutical sciences is presented in A Text Book of Instrumental Methods of Analysis. The book is primarily intended for undergraduate pharmacy students and follows the Pharmacy Council of India's (PCI) seventh semester curriculum for the B. Pharm program. Major instrumental techniques like UV-Visible Spectroscopy, IR Spectroscopy, NMR Spectroscopy, Fluorimetry, Flame Photometry, Atomic Absorption Spectroscopy (AAS), Nepheloturbidometry, and various chromatographic methods like HPLC and Gas Chromatography are all highlighted in the book, along with their theoretical underpinnings and practical applications. Instrumentation, operating principles, calibration, method validation, and applications in drug analysis and quality control are all explained in detail in each chapter. With the help of this textbook, students can gain a thorough conceptual understanding of instrumental methods and their use to pharmacological analysis. Additionally, it seeks to close the gap between theory and lab practice in order to promote both academic learning and industry applicability.
